Spiritual throw-up

Last night a woman in our weekly small group meeting said that when she’s around someone who is being negative (complaining, angry, vindictive, offensive, slandering, critical, etc.), she leaves feeling like she been thrown up on spiritually. It’s like, “Aw man, you threw up on me! This is disgusting! Now I have to go home and try to get this off.”
How true.

Interesting point of view. I never looked at it that way, but it is a great analogy. I think I’ll try to be more positive in the future and make people feel like I gave them a gift instead of the other.
